Hey Everyone!
On Monday evening, the “Who’s Who” of Atlanta gathered at Phipps Plaza for the 23rd Annual Jeffrey Fashion Cares event. If you didn’t know, this event serves as the official kickoff to the fall social season in Atlanta. Some people have football, while others (like me), have the Jeffrey Fashion Cares event. LOL! Everyone who is ANYONE in Atlanta attends this event…and boy do they attend in STYLE! If you ever wanted to be around the “beautiful people”, then this is the event for you. Notable celebs who were in the building that night are: Keri Hilson, Keshia Knight Pulliam and Phaedra Parks (Real Housewives of Atlanta). I’m bummed that I was not able to attend this year, but having attended before I can tell you, it is AWESOME! The annual Jeffrey Fashion Cares event benefits both the Susan G. Komen Greater Atlanta Chapter and the Atlanta AIDS Fund (AAF). This year there were approximately 800 fashionable Atlantans in attendance. The Jeffrey Fashion Cares event brings in mega-bucks for charity. Last year’s sold out event raised $700,000!
Some highlights from the evening included the following:
- A private Platinum Reception for VIP guests at Tiffany’s which featured delicious lite bites from Dennis Dean – A Catering Co.
- A Live auction with some of the highlights being: A black leather Marc Jacobs handbag; An Aurélie Biderman Gold Nympheas Necklace; A stainless steel watch from the Tiffany Grand Collection featuring fifty-four round diamonds (yes you read that correctly) and weighing 16 carats total weight. What?!!
- A Silent auction which included: A luxury ski trip; A “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” auction package; A trip to NYC featuring an exclusive experience with Vogue PLUS tickets to a Fashion Week event and lunch with a Vogue Market Stylist. Whoa! I wish!
…and the Piéce de Résistance…the runway show!
This year’s runway show featured gorgeous fall styles from high-end designers like: Alexander McQueen, Stella McCartney, Christian Dior, Proenza Schouler, Saint Laurent Paris and more!
