Hey Afaconados!
As you all know by now, I LOVE to travel and try to get away as often as I can. Out of all the places I’ve visited, I have to say that I enjoyed going to Europe the most, for two reasons…the shopping and the FOOD! This weekend, I had the opportunity to get a little taste of that European cuisine I love so much without getting on a plane. I met up with my friend and coworker at Aprés Diem, an adorable, romantic little bistro tucked away in the Midtown Promenade on Monroe Drive in Atlanta.
Aprés Diem, which means “After the Day”, is THE perfect date place…dim lights, cozy seating and nightly DJs that play smooth jazz music are just the thing to help set the tone for romance. Staying true to European bistro tradition, Aprés Diem offers both indoor and outdoor seating. Inside, patrons will find the usual tables and chairs, with the added bonus of a living room type setting toward the back of the restaurant…complete with sofas and coffee tables.
Some of my favorite menu items include: Brie & Baguette, Paté, Greek Islands Salad, Salmon Ciabatta, Salmon Farfalle, Almond-Butter Sautéed Trout and Vegetable du Jour.
If you’re ever visiting Atlanta or in the Midtown area looking for great food AND location, then Aprés Diem is the place to go! They are located at 931 Monroe Drive, Atlanta, GA 30308.
Here are a few pics I took during my visit:
Have any of you ever visited Aprés Diem? If so, how was your experience?
Until next time!
