Hey Afaconados!
After two weeks of being in two countries, I must say it feels good to be back home. I had to take a day to rest after making it in yesterday morning from Argentina, but I’m back…and just in time for Cinqo de Mayo! Although I’m way too pooped to party, this celebration of Mexican heritage and pride deserves a notable fashion mention. Mexican style is popular for its pops of bright color, intricate embroidered floral patterns and complex graphic prints.
Although this posting will be published well after most of you have already celebrated this special day, please note that it’s not too late to strut your Cinqo de Mayo inspired style in the streets. It’s summertime after all, and there’s no better time to wear bright colors and complex prints than this time of year. I’ve put together a few options for you below that are priced from high to low so keep in mind that there’s an option for every budget:
The great thing about all of these outfits is that you can pair any one of them with your favorite strappy sandals to dress it up OR your favorite flip flops for a more casual, relaxed look. In addition, none of these outfits require extravagant accessories as the colors and prints speak for themselves. What Cinqo de Mayo inspired look will you try?
Until next time!
