Hey Everyone!
I’m back with my girls Alina and Jessica for our Coast to Coast Street Style Series! It’s been a while but as you know, I’ve had a lot of things going on lately. Even though it’s officially fall and the leaves are about to start changing color, it’s still pretty warm here in Atlanta. That’s a good thing for all of us summer lovers. I don’t think I’m ready to completely transition my wardrobe just yet. A good way to take advantage of this great pre-fall weather would be to get out and have brunch with the girls! A patio setting would definitely be a MUST!
As a girl who’s fuller on the bottom that on the top, it’s challenging to find clothing that flatters my figure. I won’t even mention the hard time I have trying to find jeans that fit well. It’s for this reason that I’m such a big fan of fit and flare dresses. It doesn’t matter what kind of figure you have, fit and flare dresses make you look amazing every time! They’re made to help cinch the waist while making you look well proportioned. The Karen Kane dress I’m wearing today was perfect in helping to de-emphasize my full hips.
A word of caution: If you’re a heavier woman, you may want to stay away from dresses with horizontal lines like the one I have on. They tend to make you look bigger than you really are. I think the reason this dress works so well for me is because I’m small up top.
Here’s my look:

Karen Kane does an excellent job of making clothing that can be worn both in the office and out. I could have easily paired this dress with a casual blazer or denim jacket and traded in my heels for flats! Don’t forget to head over to Style by Alina and Dressed by Jess to see Alina and Jessica’s Karen Kane looks!
Do you like fit and flare dresses? Do you think they help to flatter your figure?
