Hi Everyone!
It’s Friday and I’m so excited for the weekend! For some reason this week seemed to be super long. But it looks like we’ll have some great weather in Atlanta so I’m looking forward to it! As you should know from previous posts, I try to be good about shopping my closet. If I really put my mind to it, I can come up with some really creative ways to wear my clothes. I’m actually starting to find it less and less hard to come up creative outfit ideas…practice makes perfect, right? I’m sure you all spend good money shopping for yourselves (as do I), so getting leverage out of your clothing is important.
I purchased the “Where the Wild Things Are” t-shirt I’m wearing today about 3 years ago from Urban Outfitters. I can’t believe I’ve had it that long. If I had to count the number of times I’ve worn it, I’d have to say about 5. Shameful isn’t it? I mean, 3 years and only worn 5 times?! One sure fire way to start getting leverage out of your clothing is by wearing certain items in ways you never would have. For instance, today I’m wearing an obviously casual t-shirt with a dressy skirt. That is something I don’t normally do but have started doing lately. I think we sometimes confuse what constitutes a “dressy” outfit. For example, does anyone remember when Sharon Stone wore her favorite Gap button-down shirt with a long, formal Vera Wang skirt to the Oscars? I may be aging myself because that was a long time ago, but who cares. LOL! The point is, you can do things like that and it can look amazing.
Here is my look:
I actually wore this outfit to an event and felt overdressed. See how easy it is to dress up an old t-shirt?! Cool huh?!
So, how do you go about getting leverage out of your clothing?

Until next time!

I’m really dumb in matching clothes so no matter how nice clothes I purchase, they look ugly on me 🙁

Hi Mai! I’m sure that’s not true!

I like how you paired the t-shirt with the skirt. I always have a hard time deciding which tops go best.

Thank you Amanda! I love pairing tops that wouldn’t normally seem to go with the bottoms. Mixing things up a bit can be so fun!
