*This post talks about how to look casual and elegant in a turtleneck and features an item from J. Jill that was gifted to me for a product review
Hey Everyone!
We made it to Friday! I leave for Cape Town on Monday so I won’t be posting. Please continue to visit though because my niece Ashleigh will be taking over the blog while I’m away. I have no idea what she’ll be posting about but I trust her implicitly. I know you’ll love whatever she has in store. Ashleigh is a very gifted writer. My friends and I are in for such a treat in Cape Town, I cannot wait to take it all in! We’ll be going during their spring season. I’ve read that spring is one of the best times to visit because the weather is perfect. Until I get there though, fall is in full swing here in the States. That means warm weather dressing is on the way.
I read an article recently about how to look casual and elegant in a turtleneck. It also gave tips on how to wear a turtleneck and not look like your grandma. I think the reason this article was written is because of how turtlenecks are viewed in fashion. Unfortunately, turtlenecks are an item that tend to be associated with the elderly. I’m not sure why exactly, but because of that, they’re not worn very often. I think that’s a shame. I believe that a woman’s neck is one of her most elegant features. Turtlenecks do a great job of emphasizing that feature in a good way!
Today I’m wearing J. Jill’s Perfect Pima Turtleneck Tunic in Oatmeal Heather. The turtleneck by itself is elegant, so I added my favorite pair of skinny jeans to dress it down a bit.
Here’s my look:
