*This post focuses on how to slim down a pair of linen pants featuring an item from J. Jill that was given to me as a gift in exchange for my honest opinion.
If any of you live in the south like me, then I don’t have to tell you how hot it’s been outside lately. To be honest, I don’t even like going out there because it’s just too uncomfortable. We all know how impractical that is though. If you must go outside (and we must), then wearing breathable fabrics like linen is essential. Now don’t get me wrong, I love linen, but one of my biggest pet peeves about wearing linen pants is that they tend to make me look bigger than I am. Do any of you have that problem? Well here are a few tips for how to slim down a pair of linen pants:
- Tip #1 – Wear full leg linen pants with a structured or fitted top
- Tip #2 – Try wearing linen pants that are tapered or tailored for a slimmer fit
- Tip #3 – Wear long linen pants with a pair of heels or wedges for a more elongated look
Today, I’m wearing J. Jill’s Full-Leg Seamed Crop Pants. As you can see, I had to follow my own advice. As a woman who is vertically challenged, I have to perform certain tricks to look taller AND smaller. That’s why I styled the pants with a fitted tank top. That one thing makes a world of difference in the end.

This look may be simple, but it’s comfortable as heck and I can guarantee you’ll look slimmer AND stay cool! All you have to do is add some cute accessories to complete the look and you’re done!
