Hey Everyone!
The weather in Atlanta has been temperamental these days. It’s gotten so bad that my body has no idea how to respond to it. I’ve actually started to get sick because of it. There’s just no way to know whether it will be warm or cold out. That’s why it’s best to wear clothing that can be worn in any temperature. Believe it or not, long skirts can be worn during any time of the year. The key is making sure the fabric of the skirt is both light and heavy enough. It also depends on how you style them. If you plan on wearing any long skirts this winter, then layering will be your best friend. Start with a simple base layer like a cami or tank top. Then follow that up with a cardigan, chunky knit sweater or even a long sleeved shirt and a vest. I was lucky to find the perfect long skirt a few years ago. It has become a permanent staple in my closet. I can wear it anytime and it looks and feels great!
My look today is elegant and easy to achieve. I bought my skirt from Express and it’s my all time favorite. It’s actually one of the only items I’ve kept in my closet for over 5 years! I paired it with a black turtleneck and a pair of heeled boots. That’s it! What I love the most about wearing long skirts is the fact that they pretty much style themselves. All you have to do is add a few accessories and the skirt will do the rest. 🙂
Here’s my look:

This is probably one of the easiest outfits to wear. The only thing you have to do is slip on a skirt and throw on the top!
How do you style long skirts?
Until next time…
