We were back to more rainy, foggy and cold weather on Sunday…UGH! Please excuse me for not having as many pictures this week. Because of my hair, when the weather is like that, I have to take those pictures as fast as I can. I’ve gone back to my naturally curly hair in preparation for my return to the gym this week, but just because I’m wearing it natural does not mean that it doesn’t get frizzy. Believe me, the longer I stood outside , the more I began to look like a Pomeranian. LOL!
Aside from the horrible weather, this week was a bit of a challenge for me. I went into my closet to start putting outfits together for the shoot and could not get inspired. I must have stood in the doorway of my closet for an hour before even picking anything out to try on…it was awful. If it wasn’t for a phone call to my best friend Melanie, I probably wouldn’t have any pictures this week. She told me that I should show you all how to layer a sweater over a dress to make it look like a skirt. Genius idea! I’ve worn the dress I’m wearing today in a previous post, but it looks completely different with a sweater over it. That’s the beauty of layering…it gives you new ways to wear your clothes, making it look as though you went out and bought something new!
Here’s my look:
NOTE: The first picture in this set is INTERACTIVE and SHOPPABLE
This was a good exercise in shopping my closet…Thank You Bestie! From now on I think I’ll task myself with trying to use layering as a means for creating new outfits rather than running up my credit cards. LOL!
Do you like layering? What are some of your favorite layering pieces?
Until next time!

Loooove this look! Your hair looks great! I love layering dresses to look like skirts. Not only does it expand your wardrobe, but it also keeps you warmer when the weather is freezing like this!!
