I’m SO glad it’s Friday. Hopefully we’ll be on our way to some dry weather here in Atlanta. It’s been raining all week and that does terrible things to my commute home from work. When I think of some of my favorite winter fabrics, luxurious cashmere is the first thing that comes to mind. Cashmere is one of the softest, most feminine fabrics to me….and it never ceases to amaze me how warm even the thinnest cashmere sweater can be. That kind of luxury has to come at a high price right? Not necessarily, and certainly not if you know where to buy it. I’ve been pleasantly surprised to find some really good deals on some the beautiful, luxurious cashmere pieces I own. I totally lucked up at TJ Maxx this past weekend when I found a 100% cashmere cardigan for only $40. That is almost unheard of! Some other favorites of mine that are good for finding affordable cashmere are: Nordstrom Rack, Rue La La, and Gilt.
For my look today I went with one of my favorite colors, lavender. This cashmere cardigan is a really light lavender too. Since this week has been sort of an unofficial dedication to gray, I decided to add in some touches of gray. I’ve always been a fan of purple and gray as long as they are both lighter versions of those colors.
Here’s my look:

It’s important for me to note that the cashmere cardigan I’m wearing today is by Cynthia Rowley, and the original price was over $100. Now is that a steal or what?! Bottom line: You really don’t have to pay full price for luxury, you just have to be a savvy shopper.
How many of you love luxurious cashmere as much as I do?
Until next time…
