Hey Everyone! I wish I could say that we had beautiful weather in Atlanta this weekend but that would be a lie. In addition to thick, breath stealing humidity, we also had torrential rain that seemed to turn on and off like a faucet. It was awful. I’m glad I decided not to straighten my hair because I would have been SO upset! All of my hard work would have been in vain. Anyway, the weekend is over and all of us are headed back to work today which means you’ll need some work style inspiration. That’s where midi dresses come in. What I find interesting is that I never used to see a lot of women wearing midi dresses in the office. Skirts or dresses are usually either right at the knee or a little bit above the knee. Midi dresses and midi skirts have become very popular these days though and you see more and more women wearing them. As someone who typically dresses on the modest side, I’ve always liked midi dresses.
I believe I’ve mentioned in a previous post that Ann Taylor and Loft are two of my all time favorite places to shop for professional clothing. In case you didn’t know, they’re sister stores that are owned by the same company. I guess that explains why I’m crazy about both of them. The quality and styling of their clothing is top notch. There’s no way you won’t find the perfect look for the office in one of those stores! Today I’m wearing the Striped Linen Cotton Midi Dress. I probably should have gotten it in a Petite size. It fits me more like a maxi dress since I’m so darn short. LOL! But I really like the cut of this dress. I feel like it makes me look taller…or maybe that’s just what I want to see. 🙂 Of course I wouldn’t wear it into the office without putting on a cardigan or blazer, but either of those would look great with it!
Here’s my look:
