Hey Everyone!
If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, then you know how much I enjoy art. In the past, I’ve written several posts about street art. Now that Atlanta has organizations around like Living Walls, it’s no longer being seen as a bad thing. I’ve also written posts about art events that I’ve attended here in the city. My dad was an artist so I’ve always enjoyed all forms of art. From music to visual art, I love it all. Fashion is art, no doubt about it. So it should come as no surprise that elements of art can be seen in the clothing we wear every day. Mixed Media is a type of art that combines the use of different types of materials in order to create a piece. That means any type of material is game. That’s a great idea, right? When it comes to clothing, you can do the same thing. J. Jill has one of my favorite mixed media tops as part of their February Collection. I absolutely LOVE it!
What I like about J. Jill’s Knit Mixed-Media Top is that it’s super comfortable as well as versatile. You can’t go wrong with a combination of Cotton Knit and Rayon. Those are two really soft fabrics. You should know by now that I’m all about versatility when it comes to my wardrobe. I could just as easily wear this top with a pair of slacks as I can with my favorite pair of distressed jeans. As a matter of fact, the latter is what I decided to do today!
Here’s my look:
