Hey Everyone!
I know I’m a little late but I’ve wanted to own a bralette ever since the trend started. I love the idea of wearing underwear as outerwear. It’s in keeping with my need to break the rules. 😉 My only problem with the one I bought recently is that I’ve had some trouble figuring out how to style it. I wanted it to be obvious that I was wearing one without showing everything off. I know what you’re probably thinking, “She likes breaking the rules but she’s afraid to show some skin?” LOL! I have moments when I’m a bit more adventurous with my clothing but that’s not normal for me. I’ve been a modest dresser for as long as I can remember.
After doing a little searching on Pinterest, I was able to find one of the modest ways to wear a bralette. It’s super easy too! All you have to do is wear it underneath a dress or top that has drop armholes. If you want the bralette to show, the longer armholes will help with that. It’s such a cute way to add a little “peek-a-boo” sexiness to your look! I styled my bralette from Kohl’s with a distressed muscle tank I got from TJ Maxx. I paired it with some dark grey skinny jeans that I already had in my closet and finished with my Converse. This was such a comfortable, relaxed outfit.
Here’s my look:

This outfit was perfect for a day of walking around the city, which is what my boyfriend and I did. I’m always excited to find easy ways to style the pieces I have in my closet!

You look fabulous .. love it… that’s exactly how I’d wear it .. Modesty is important for me especially with little eyes watching!!
I try not to keep up with trends .. it’s kinda exhausting .. whatever feels right for me or looks great is what I go with whether it’s in or out of style .. somehow it always come back around

Tracy, you are SO right! Trends are very exhausting to keep up with…and the old stuff does always come back around. 🙂

What a great look. I’ve always shyed away from these drop armhole tees because of too much exposure. Your bralette looks perfect. But I need to get a pair of those converse sneakers. My life color is grey. I use it everywhere.
Johnnalynn Lynch says
Thank you Elke! Believe me, it’s not easy for me to wear drop armholes either. It’s hard not to feel like you need to cover up. LOL! Converse are my favorite!
