It’s crazy how fast this year has been moving along. Can you believe that summer is almost here? One thing I can say about the seasons this year is that they’ve been changing appropriately. Usually it’s warmer in the winter than it should be and just plain hot in the spring. That wasn’t the case this year. We’ve actually had real seasons. Since summer means warmer weather, it’s time to start thinking about how to slightly transition your wardrobe to accommodate it. Now is also a great time to think about investing in new fabrics, colors and patterns to refresh your look! One of the newest additions to my closet is a nautical striped maxi dress. If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, then you know how much I love stripes. What I’ve always liked about maxi dresses is that they’re elegant, and they fit well for any occasion. When you add nautical stripes to a maxi dress, it gives it that “Day at Sea” type of flare. A nautical maxi dress would work really well for any upcoming cruises you may be going on. They’re also perfect for the beach, a casual day of shopping or even a sunset dinner date!
One of the simplest looks I could have ever put together is the one you’ll see today. When you’re wearing something that speaks for itself and doesn’t require much in the way of accessories, it makes life so much easier. I found my Nautical Striped Maxi Dress with Cutouts from TJ Maxx but when I looked online I saw tons of great ones that looked just like it. If you like the look, be sure to check out my comparable items below.

This type of easy, casual yet elegant look is the reason why summer is my favorite season!
Do you have a nautical striped maxi dress? How do you style it?
Until next time…
