Hey Everyone!
I can’t believe the weeks are going by so quickly! This always seems to be the case when I’m about to leave for a trip. I don’t mind getting there quickly but I wish time would slow down once I get there. Vacations go by way too fast. Although last weekend was another scorcher, my photographer and I decided to venture out and walk the city a bit. I’m glad we did because he got the opportunity to meet a local musician he loves! So what do you wear for such an outing? When putting together outfits for exploring your city, comfort is key. Not just your shoes either. What you wear is equally as important. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, J. Jill has got comfortable, versatile clothing down to a science!
Today, I’m wearing the Pima Buttoned-Back Tee in Red from the August Collection. This vibrant colored tee has 3/4 length sleeves and is made from 100% Pima Cotton Knit. That alone should tell you how soft it is! Again, when it comes to clothing that’s appropriate for hot weather, fabric is important. Cotton is a breathable fabric which means that it allows moisture vapor transmission. You’re less likely to break out in a horrible sweat when wearing fabric like this. Instead of shorts, I opted for my destroyed denim jeans and Converse shoes. We took these pictures near a part of town called the Beltline in Midtown. They have some of the most beautiful street art down there. The wall you see in the pictures is part of that. I have to say, I was very comfortable during our walking tour!
