*This post talks about how to spice up your outfit with a pop of color and features items from J. Jill that were gifted to me for a product review
Hey Everyone!
One of my favorite techniques for creating a “stand out” look is popping bright colors as an overlay for darker colors. Although I do enjoy wearing more bright, vibrant colors during the summer, that doesn’t mean I stay away from dark colors. If you spice up your outfit with a pop of color, then it adds a little bit of pizzazz to the entire look and softens the dark colors as well. This style technique also helps with transitioning from summer to fall. In my post last week Friday, I talked about J. Jill’s Painted Desert Collection and how much I love their use of interesting prints and earth tones. If you’re looking for the perfect pull-on skirt with an amazing print, the Jacquard-Knit Pencil Skirt is perfect!
I’m always talking about how hot it is in Atlanta right and how important it is to wear light fabrics that won’t add to the heat. The skirt I’m wearing today was made for hot summer days! J. Jill is a brand of quality. All of their clothes, whether it’s just an easy, casual tank or a dress for the office are made from high quality fabrics that will last you years. It’s no wonder this skirt feels as amazing as it does. To help soften the black in the skirt, I wore the Perfect Pima Sleeveless Tee in Avocado. I’m a huge fan of wearing black and green but this same tee in Papaya would have been great as well!
Here’s my look:
