T.G.I.F! I can’t believe I made it to the end of this week, it seemed to go by so slow for me. I’m really looking forward to the weekend so I can get some much needed errands done. Thanks to my wonderful, loving father Vernal Lynch, I have a HUGE appreciation for all kinds of art. I remember him painting all the time as a little girl. He used to create the most beautiful paintings of birds, which are his favorite. He even did a painting of me as well!
Thanks to a non-profit organization called Living Walls, I’m really in love with street art these days. If you haven’t already read my previous articles “The Urban Outfitters Plaid Dress…AND Knees Socks” and “A Little Bit of Black in Honor of Black Friday”, you should check them out for more pictures of some great street art done by their artists. To be clear, the art you see in today’s post was not created by artists affiliated with the Living Walls Organization, but it’s wonderful just the same. My outfit of choice for today was a pair of distressed skinny jeans I got from Target, along with my wedge sneakers and bomber jacket. I felt that my outfit would look great with a little street art to serve as a backdrop, so we found some really cool art on one the buildings located on Krog Street in Inman Park. We really lucked out! The colors were so vivid and beautiful…I’m glad I wore colors that didn’t clash with the art!
Here’s my look:

Although some people do not consider street art to be “real” art, I disagree. The use of color, theme and time that it takes to create these pieces is nothing to be taken lightly. My nephew and I enjoy it quite a bit and we’ve made it a point during our shoots to look for other street art pieces around the city!
So, what types of art do you like?
Until next time!

Hi Saminder! Welcome to the blog and thank you! I love street art for the same reason. That is talent you can’t go to school to learn.

What a great outfit. I am always hesitant to wear chunky jewelry but you look stunning and comfortable at the same time..I love the street art…There is a lot of it here and I am always sad when it gets painted over.
Johnnalynn Lynch says
Hi Shannon! I used to feel the same way about chunky jewelry particularly when it comes to not feeling too over-dressed when wearing it. But I think these days it has become the norm. I definitely feel more comfortable wearing it now than say, 2 years ago. Thanks you!
