Hey Everyone!
My trip to South Africa has inspired me in so many ways. In my post on Wednesday I wrote about a company called Mayamiko. Please check out my post to learn more about the great work they are doing in African communities. The post also mentions how you can get involved with Mayamiko. If you enjoy embracing a good cause as much as I do, then you’ll love the concept behind the work they are doing. I’ve always been a fan of African prints but after my visit there, I have a renewed love for them. African prints offer you a chance to change the way you view fabrics. When it comes to styling them, that’s another story.
African prints are bold and vibrant so it’s important to be subtle when wearing them. You can easily pull off an entire African print suit if you’re eclectic like Solange Knowles. Not everyone has the ability to do that though. Today I’m wearing Mayamiko’s Bold Print Tribal Tee in green. When it comes to how to style an African print top, the easiest approach to wear a solid bottom. You can wear it with a skirt, pants or jeans. The key is to make sure it’s just one color. There are African tops that come as a set, but in my humble opinion, less is more.
Here’s my look:

This African print top is so beautiful that it literally carries the entire outfit! To see more of Mayamiko’s clothing, check out their website at http://www.mayamiko.org.
