Hey Afaconados!
When I stepped outside to walk my dog last Thursday morning, I was greeted by an all too familiar chill. The chill of a fast approaching Fall. While I’m the first to admit that my level of chilly compared to that of others is slightly skewed, I think it’s fair to say that 66 degrees when it’s still Summer in “Hotlanta” is pretty cool. I realized at that moment, that it’s just a matter of time before I’m going through the painful process of packing up my summer clothes and pulling out the fall/winter clothes. But, how do you handle the Summer to Fall transition? What do you wear on those days when it’s 60 degrees in the morning and 80 degrees in the afternoon?
I’ve got some answers for you! Today, I’ve compiled a list of 5 ways you can transition easily out of your Summer wardrobe into your Fall wardrobe.
Here we go (Please “CLICK” to purchase):
1. Wear Blazers with Sundresses – I think most Fashionistas will agree that a blazer is must have for any female’s closet. The best thing about them is that they can serve multiple purposes! You can dress them up or down, you can wear them with pants to complete a business look OR you can pair them with a sundress when transitioning into fall. If you’re not quite ready to pack up those spaghetti and strapless dresses, just throw on a blazer, roll up the sleeves, add a statement necklace and be on your way!
2. Wear Shirt or Tunic Dresses – Shirt and Tunic dresses are a great way to transition to fall because most of them have 3/4 sleeves, so you won’t be burning up in the afternoons when it’s warmer.
3. Throw on a Denim Jacket – If any of you follow my blog, then you know what a huge fan I am of denim jackets. If I can wear mine in the summer, then you can surely wear one when it’s cooler outside…simply take it off in the afternoon.
4. Wear Ballet Flats and Loafers – No one wants their toes to freeze when it’s chilly in the morning…so elect to wear ballet flats or loafers over sandals.
5. Pull Out Those Tights – You may want to wait until it’s in the low to mid 70s in the afternoons to do this one, but make sure they’re handy because the mornings will get cooler as fall comes closer.
There you have it! 5 ways to transition your summer wardrobe to fall without the headaches!
So what do you currently do to prepare your wardrobe for Fall?
Until next time!
