Hey Everyone!
Since I don’t normally do posts directed towards business attire, I decided to dedicate this week to some of my favorite office looks. If you haven’t seen yesterday’s post on where I like to find Chic Work Wear pieces, then be sure to check it out! Dressing for work really doesn’t have to be a daunting task and I’d like to prove that this week. When I think about some of my favorite summer staples for the office, there are a few pieces that come to mind. One of them is a great pair of Chambray Trousers. For those of you that don’t know, Chambray is a lightweight clothing fabric with colored warp and white filling yarns. Although very similar to the way that denim is constructed, Chambray and Denim are not the same. The techniques used to weave both Chambray and Denim is the reason why they vary in color.
Chambray is easily one of my favorite summer staples for the office because the fabric is great for dressing up AND dressing down. If you work in a casual office, this fabric is perfect for you because it’s lightweight, drapes well and is super comfortable. On the flip side of that, there are also some killer Chambray suits out there that would go great for an office that requires more traditional business attire. For my look today, I decided to go in between. I’m not exactly casual, but I’m not entirely dressy either. I bought the trousers I’m wearing last year but also love Loft’s Chambray Fluid Trousers in Marisa Fit. Because Chambray is typically softer than denim, these trousers feel amazing on! To compliment the baby blue color of my trousers, I’m wearing Loft’s Tabbed Dolman Blouse in a very light Pink Powder color. This is such a laid back outfit for the summer, I love it!

One thing is for sure, doing posts like this help me to be more creative with what I wear to work. I hope they benefit you as well!
