Hey Everyone!
I still can’t believe my birthday came and went so quickly. I hope to have some great pictures of the outfit I’m wearing to my celebration on Saturday to show you guys next week. Please stay tuned!
When it comes to Midi Skirts (or skirts that hit just below the knee or maybe a little further down), wearing them can be quite tricky. [SIDE BAR: I feel like I say that alot. LOL! I think it’s probably because I tend to dress on the more bold, daring side 🙂]. Although they can look amazing when worn the right way, there are a few things you should consider before wearing one. I found the Midi Skirt I’m wearing for today’s look at Buffalo Exchange on Ponce de Leon in Midtown Atlanta. I paid $13 for it and it’s from Zara.
If you plan to purchase a midi skirt anytime soon, here are a few tips you should consider first:
- First, if you’re short, please consider the length of your skirt. If the skirt is too long and hits too far below the knee, you run the risk of appearing shorter than you really are.
- Second, think about color. Midi skirts are perfect for transitional weather because they’re long enough for you not to look ridiculous in cooler temperatures, but just short enough to keep you cool in warmer temperatures. When it comes to color selection, be sure to choose a color that matches the season you are in (Ex: Bright colors for Spring and Summer).
- Third, choose your top wisely. Something as little as the length of your top can REALLY make a difference. Midi skirts look great with crop tops which are a huge trend for Spring, but if you don’t have the figure to pull off that look, you’ll need to select a top that at least hits below the waistline of the skirt. Just be sure not to select a top that is too long. To avoid looking frumpy, stick with one top…NO layering! Sleeve length can be long or short because both look fantastic!

Midi Skirts are a HUGE trend for Spring so please take advantage of wearing one. I don’t have to tell you how sophisticated and girly a skirt can be. I hope to see a lot of ladies out there with them on this Spring!
So, how do you feel about the Midi Skirt trend?
Until next time!
So, how do

I love your midi look – I however think that the midi looks horrible on me so I cannot wear them.
