As I mentioned in one of my previous articles (HERE), I went on my very first Thrifting Atlanta Bus Tour this past Saturday! Let me just say…it did NOT disappoint! I had a fantastic time with an amazing group of women and I scored some major goodies as well! In fact, I got so many great items on Saturday that I decided that outfit posts for this entire week would be dedicated to my scores from this weekend. You definitely have to stay tuned. I’m telling you, if you live in Atlanta and are a lover of thrift store shopping, this is a MUST do!
Our day started at 10am where we met up at the Nearly New Shop on Howell Mill in Midtown. Waiting inside to greet us, and looking absolutely gorgeous, was Keren Charles of Two Stylish Kays. It was easy to spot the ladies that were with the tour because they came equipped with their yellow Thrifting Atlanta bags, which are available for purchase on the website. My best friend Melanie had gotten there a bit before me, so as I arrived I sought her out so we could begin our extravaganza! I found a gorgeous pair of BCBG Plaid Pants for $15 and a Gap skirt for $10…and thanks to my discount as a part of the tour, my total came up to $17.28! By the time Melanie and I checked out, all of the other ladies had arrived and done their shopping. We were now ready to board the bus and begin our thrifting journey!
I won’t bombard you with the details of everything that I bought on that day because we’ll be chatting about some of the other items I found in my outfit posts this week. But if you’d like to know where the bus took us for the day, here are the other stops we took on the tour:
New For You Boutique & Consignment
free Fabrik Community Boutique
Every single one of these stores is worth a visit, so be sure to check them out!
Here’s a little recap of the day:
The day ended with a bunch of VERY happy women, loading back on the bus completely wiped out from the excitement of the day! I really enjoyed the tour and cannot wait to go on another one. Very special thanks to Keren Charles for her hospitality and for making this event so much fun. Please be sure to visit Keren’s website at http://www.thriftingatlanta.com
So, will you be joining the next Thrifting Atlanta Bus Tour?
Until next time!
