Hey Everyone!
I’m in London on business this week and it’s been hard to dedicate any time to doing outfit posts. Since most of you are not aware that I actually created my first blog during my tour of London in 2010, I thought it would be nice to take a look back today at some of the great experiences I had while I lived here for 2 months. I love this city, and it’s crazy that I’m able to say that now because when first visited, that was not the case. The opportunity I received was an amazing one. The company I used to work for had a need for someone to come over to help with a major client and I was chosen for the job. Cool right? Well not for me. I happily accepted, then immediately regretted it. I had never been overseas before. I had no idea what to expect, I would be alone, and I didn’t know anyone besides my co-workers. I was lucky to wind up having another friend and co-worker come over at a later time to help out.
If I’m an adventurous person now, it’s because traveling to London was what made me finally put on my big girl underwear. LOL! I had to figure out everything on my own…how to get around on the Tube (the train system here in the UK), how to properly read a map, how to cross the street (believe it or not, it’s not as easy as it sounds), how to use British terminology like “Pop into a store”, “Top up my card”, or get a coffee “To Take Away”…so many things. When you’re afraid of a situation, it’s very easy to back down and decide not to go further into it…but you REALLY miss out on some great experiences when you do! I will never forget the great times that I had when I lived here and I will always come back to London and feel like I’ve come back home.
Here are some of my favorite shots:
I loved going back through these pictures! What you see here, is the result of me making the decision to LIVE in the moment and enjoy the situation I was blessed enough to be placed in. I hope all of you can take a queue from this. Go…there’s nothing stopping you!
I’ll try to do this again for Friday’s post if I have time. I really hope you guys enjoyed looking at these pictures because this was truly one of the best times of my life! If any of you are thinking about taking a visit to London, check out this site HERE for tips on what to do!
So, will any of you be traveling to London any time soon?
Until next time!

London is big on my wish list. Now that I’m a mom- I’d need to throw in the Making of Harry Potter/ Universal Studios also! I would need several days to see everything on my list just for London alone! Ah, someday!

I have been to London and it was fabulous! I also rode the train to Paris by myself and traveled the “chunnel” to get there. Met some wonderful people in London and even invited me to their 50th birthday party “after hours” at their restaurant. I had a blast! My hubby wasn’t too thrilled though as I forgot to call him to tell him where I would be. He forgave me as I was getting out of my shell!! I want to go back!
