Hey Everyone!
The weekend is here which means it’s time for casual weekend dressing. In the 90 degree heat, you most likely won’t want to wear a pair of jeans. You might end up roasting if you do. In the summer, I typically wear tencel as an alternative to denim. Why, you ask? Because tencel essentially IS denim. It’s a lot softer and lighter than regular denim though. It’s even light enough for days as hot as we’ve had them in Atlanta. It’s important to note that not all tencel is created equal. There are quality differences that vary from brand to brand. J. Jill is a master at creating quality clothing that’s easy and chic! If you’re like me, then you’re the type of person who wants to feel comfortable on the weekends. J. Jill’s summer collection is packed with a variety of comfortable, laid back options.
Today I’m wearing their Tencel-Soft Indigo A-Line dress in Waterfall Wash. This dress is so fabulous. I love how easy and fluid it is! The fabric is super soft, and it literally moves with every movement I make. It’s light, airy and doesn’t wrinkle nearly as much as I thought it would. To give the dress some shape, I added a neutral tri-colored woven belt. If you’re going for an even more laid back style, then lose the belt and throw on a pair of Birkenstocks. Otherwise, you can add some wedges like I did!
