Hey Everyone!
I think the weather we’re having in Atlanta this week is some of the nastiest I’ve ever seen here (aside from Snowmaggedon of course). It won’t stop raining and it’s not real rain, it’s that misty stuff. You know, the kind that makes it impossible to keep your hair from frizzing? I swear there’s no hair product in existence that can protect your hair from this kind of weather….at least none that I know of. Hopefully it will be clear up soon. Gloomy winter weather like this calls for some pretty petals. That’s why the winter floral trend is one of my favorites. On days like today, when everything is wet and soggy, wearing a floral pattern can liven things up a bit. The great thing about it is that the flowers don’t even have to be brightly colored. Wearing shades of gray and black are just fine because they have the same effect. It’s the pattern that adds the flavor, not so much the colors.
I bought the top I’m wearing for only $8 at TJ Maxx. Can you believe that?! I flipped out when I saw the price. I chose to enhance the black in the top by wearing even more black. I guess I was just having that kind of day. LOL! I do like how it turned out though. It’s kind of Sporty Chic! If you plan to rock the winter floral trend, my suggestion would be to go easy on the pattern. Less is always more when you’re dealing with patterns that are as busy as florals. Have fun with it too though. Floral patterns go really well with stripes and other patterns, and you know me, print mixing is ALWAYS fun!
Here’s my look:

I’m so glad that winter doesn’t last long in Atlanta. It is SO not my favorite season.
Will you be rocking the winter floral trend this season?
