Hey Everyone!
I’ve mentioned in previous posts that I used to be one of those people who was afraid of color. Looking back on those days now it doesn’t seem at all like me but it’s true, I feared color. The colors I wore the most used to consist of Black, White, Nude and Brown. That was WAY too safe. I think my fear used to be that I would stand out too much if I wore bright colors. But what’s wrong with standing out? I have no idea why I felt so self-conscious back then. If any of you are afraid of color the way I used to be, then it’s time to step outside of the box. The best way to introduce a little color into your wardrobe is by wearing patterned clothing. If you’re new to color and would like to try this styling technique, I suggest wearing lighter colored patterns instead of the bold ones to begin with. That way, you won’t feel overwhelmed. A great way to start would be by wearing a simple piece, like a patterned top made with multiple pastel colors.
We already know that maxi dresses are perfect for the summer. The fact that the dress I’m wearing today has a halter neckline makes it even better, and then once you add in the pattern of the dress, it’s perfection! As you can see, I decided to pop a bright color by adding Kendra Scott’s Elle Earrings in Yellow. I added nude shoes and a nude belt in order to provide some balance. I think the dress says it all. There were no more colors needed to complete this outfit!
