*This post is about wearing white before and after Labor Day and features an item from Beginning Boutique that was gifted to me for a product review
Hey Everyone!
Today is Labor Day and you know what that means right? It means that “technically” you’re not supposed to wear white after today. Where did this so called fashion “rule” even come from? I’ve always wondered about it so I decided to look it up. There are quite a few theories about how it originated. The most interesting theory I found has to do with money. It’s been said that rich people with “old” money basically wanted to distinguish themselves from rich people with “new” money. So you mean to tell me that all these years of me not wearing things I want to wear came from a bunch of snooty rich people? I’m not sure if that is true or not but it’s time to start breaking the rules! Today, it’s perfectly fine to wear white before AND after Labor Day. There’s absolutely no reason why you shouldn’t. White is an elegant and stunning color!
Pretty much everything I’ve added to my wardrobe lately involves my trip. 🙂 Today’s dress is no different. I’m wearing the White Sophie Dress from Beginning Boutique and it’s SUPER cute! In the final days of summer, a dress like this is essential. It’s still 90+ degrees here in Atlanta. It’s important to soak up all the sun we can while we still have time! This dress is sexy AND fun! I chose to dress it down with a fedora and a pair of Converse. I really love the peek-a-boo cutout stomach too!

Life is short, don’t follow silly rules about color. Wear what you want!
