Hey Everyone!
There’s no question that fashion and art go hand in hand. The intricacy, innovation and time it takes to create haute couture is beyond fascinating. While I may not be able to afford the high price tag that comes with owning a piece of haute couture, I certainly appreciate its beauty. For that reason, I’m super excited about my announcement today! If you live in Atlanta, then come out and join me at The High Museum of Art this Friday, November 6th from 7PM-10PM for the Iris van Herpen Exhibit Launch Party. The event is free so bring as many of your friends as you’d like. This will be their very first fashion design exhibit so you definitely don’t want to miss it!
Without a doubt, Iris van Herpen (pronounced “EAR-iss”) is transforming fashion. Her stunningly complex 3D-Printed designs combine the latest technology with fine handcraft techniques. Her designs have been on runways in major European cities and mega stars like Beyoncé, Lady Gaga and Björk have worn her pieces. I think it goes without saying that Iris van Herpen is a big deal. The exhibit at The High Museum of Art which officially opens on November 7th, 2015, will feature 45 outfits from 15 of van Herpen’s collections. The duration will be from November 7, 2015 – May 15, 2016. It’s important to note that exhibits like these are important for boosting tourism in Atlanta. They’re also a key component to our emerging fashion scene.

I have to say, this is going to be quite a treat for me. I can’t wait to see these designs up close. If you’re in the Atlanta area, please join me at the launch party this Friday at 7PM! I hope to see you there!
