Hey Everyone!
I don’t know about you but the cold weather we’ve been having in Atlanta has me ready for a beach vacation. I can imagine what you’re all thinking. Probably that I’m nuts for complaining about the cold weather when it literally JUST got cold. Believe me when I say it could have only been cold for one day! I’m not a fan. LOL! I can’t tell you how much I’ve dreaded having to go out there in the mornings to walk my dog. With that said, now is the time to start looking for the perfect resort wear. Serious travelers like myself look to escape the cold weather by planning warm weather vacations around this time of year. To be honest, there’s no inappropriate time to buy resort wear. It’s the type of clothing that really has no lifecycle…unless it’s super trendy.
J. Jill has cornered the market on sophisticated, comfortable clothing. It’s no wonder their Resort Collection looks so inviting! As a seasoned traveler, there are a few things I tend to look for when it comes to purchasing resort wear.
Here they are:
- Light fabrics that drape well (i.e. Linen, Cotton)
- Loose fitting clothing (i.e Tunics, Maxi Dresses)
- Clothing that packs well
- Clothing that doesn’t require ironing (i.e. Soft Linen, Cotton)
- Clothing that can be worn in multiple ways
My look for today features J. Jill’s Lightweight Open-Stitch Sweater and Linen Drawstring-Waist Pinstriped Pants. I couldn’t have picked better items to feature. This outfit represents everything about my vacations. It’s easy, relaxed and comfortable. As a matter of fact, something like this is exactly what I’d wear for a walking tour!
