*This post highlights how to tie a layer around your waist as a transition tip for fall and features items from Tobi that were gifted to me for a product review
Hey Everyone!
I don’t know about you but I’m ready for the weekend. I never thought I would say this, but I’m also ready for cooler weather. Don’t get me wrong, I love the sun and enjoy warm weather. I just can’t take too many more days in the upper 90s. As soon as I get outside I feel like I can’t breathe. It’s time we all start looking forward to fall. It’s unavoidable so we may as well be prepared. I’ve been writing lately about some easy ways to transition from summer to fall. It’s interesting how you can make the slightest change to help get you started. The funny thing is that these are probably things you do already but just don’t realize you’re doing them. For example, you can tie a layer around your waist. That way, when it’s warm during the day and cooler at night, you’ve got an extra layer of clothing you can cover up with. The layer that you use can be a shirt, cardigan, sweater or even a light jacket.
For my look today, I’m wearing the Shoreline Striped Racer Maxi Dress from Tobi as my base layer. This is a great summer dress! The fabric is light, breathable and there’s a split on the side that provides even more air. For my second layer, I tied Tobi’s Cross My Mind Plaid Shirt around my waist. You may recall how much I enjoy mixing prints. Stripes and Plaid have always been two of my favorite patterns to mix together!
Here’s my look:

Easy right?! I can’t wait to try this out when the temperatures start to cool!
Have you ever tried to tie a layer around your waist as a way to transition into fall?
