Hey Afaconados!
Okay, I have a confession to make…I’ve been shopping again. LOL! Totally out of character for me, I know…seriously, who am I kidding? Don’t judge me guys, I’m a fashion blogger! LOL! Anyway, Old Navy, one of my favorite places to shop, was having an amazing sale not too long ago and I just HAD to participate!
I think I told you guys in a post before that I needed to get on top of my shoe game. Well, I’ve been taking that very seriously. So, after purchasing my new look from Old Navy, I met up with my friend Melanie (the best shoe shopper in Atlanta), to help me find a pair of shoes that would go well with my outfit. I swear, my bestie KNOWS shoes. She should seriously think about starting a Shoe 101 class. I fell in love with the cutest pair of camel colored booties, but only AFTER my friend pointed them out to me. Once I saw them, I knew they would go perfectly with the new pencil skirt I purchased.
Although some of you may not think so, pencil skirts are actually great for Fall…providing you wear them with the right pieces. Obviously you wouldn’t wear a pencil skirt with a sleeveless top when the temperatures start to go down. They’re actually best worn with layers of some sort. You can even add tights if you don’t want your bare legs to show. Old Navy had the most adorable polka dot pencil skirt on sale at the time I was shopping and I’m so glad I found it too because it went REALLY well with the fox sweater I got.
Here are the details of my look:
Sweater: Graphic Crew Neck Sweater // $33 at Old Navy (sold out, somewhat similar here)
Skirt: Printed Pencil Skirt // $23 at Old Navy
Shoes: Crown Vintage Ivvy Bootie // $70 at DSW
And here’s my look:
This was such a great outfit to wear in the beautiful 62 degree weather we had last Sunday. I know one thing for sure after my great find at Old Navy…I’ll be wearing much more pencil skirts this fall!
How you style your pencil skirts for the Fall/Winter seasons?
Until next time!

This is such a cute look! The booties look great. Great balance of looser top with a fitted bottom .
Now maybe I’ll wear 2 that I’ve had since last year!
