You know those people that relish in the idea of going outside on a rainy day to enjoy the rain and become one with nature? WELL, I’M NOT ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE. LOL! This weekend was the WORST! It was rainy, it was cold, it was MISERABLE. And to top it all off, I went to the salon on Saturday to get my hair done from 3pm-7:30pm (no joke)…only to have to have to deal with that horrible weather when leaving. Talk about throwing your money down the drain. There was one silver lining though. My trip to Target earlier that day turned out to be a score! I was finally able to find this gingham shirt I had been eyeing but couldn’t find in my size at the store near my job. I just love it when a shopping trip goes well.
Since I had been looking at this shirt for some time, I already knew how I wanted to style it, and it involved two different looks. The first look would be to wear it under a striped pullover. I’ve always been a fan of black, mustard and beige together so I knew I wanted to pop the black with my mustard colored jeans. Wearing my olive green anorak actually turned out to be a fortunate accident. It was cold and rainy…I needed something to cover me. LOL! I don’t know how my nephew has such a cheery disposition. He really does a great job of keeping my spirits up on crappy days like this one. In spite of the ugliness of the weather, we still had a great time.
Here’s my look:

I would definitely say that scoring a great top is worth going out into the rain. Be sure to stayed tuned this week for Part 2 of my Two Ways to Wear!
So, what do you like to do on rainy days?
Until next time!
