If there’s one thing I love when it comes to clothing, it’s versatility. If I have an item I can wear lots of different ways then I’m a very happy camper. I’m not so sure I do a good job of buying those types of pieces though. I aim to be different so I often find myself buying pieces that can only be worn one way. My goal lately has been to start investing in more classic pieces as well as pieces that I can envision wearing in a number of different ways. I think it’s easy to underestimate just how versatile prints like Gingham, Plaid and Stripes can be…AND if you’re not afraid of mixing prints, you can wear those pieces in multiple ways, with multiple pieces.
For Monday’s look, I opted to wear my Merona Women’s Favorite Shirt from Target as a layer underneath a striped crewneck sweater. Well today, I thought I’d go a little simpler, taking away the layer and mixing a striped scarf I got from Zara last year with the gingham pattern of my shirt (my apologies up front for this scarf no longer being available). Once again, I can’t stress enough how cold and rainy it was last Sunday. If for any reason I look like I’m miserable in these pictures…that would be why. LOL!
Here’s my look:

So, what types of versatile pieces do you have in your closet?
Until next time!
