This weekend was so gorgeous that I just had to pull out a floral jumpsuit I purchased while in London during my last trip. I wore this jumpsuit on my first night in Los Angeles for Lucky FABB, but never got a chance to wear it in an outfit post. That’s why when my niece asked me to take her graduation pictures for her in a garden, I knew I had to wear this jumpsuit again. I’m all about taking pictures in a natural setting, and this garden was JUST what I needed to really feel spring. This is, after all, the most consistent warm weather we’ve had in Atlanta this week. I “think” the cold days are finally over 🙂
A floral jumpsuit, while perfect for a Spring background, has the potential to be overwhelming depending on the boldness of the print…so choose your print wisely. Since my jumpsuit is black and white, I decided that popping a bright color shoe might detract from the bold print even if just a little. I’m a huge fan of black and white with either kelly green or mustard, hence my reason for choosing the latter. I didn’t want to overcrowd my look with too many accessories so I chose to wear a crystal statement necklace with crystal earrings. Color wasn’t a necessity here since I already had a pop with the shoe. I couldn’t believe how great the background of the garden blended with my jumpsuit. The touches of burgundy from the Japanese Maple were a gorgeous addition to an already surreal background. I’m very excited about how it turned out!
Here’s my look:

The best part of this shoot was having the chance to spend time with my niece Ashleigh who will be leaving for college in the fall. I’m going to miss her SO much.
So, would you wear a floral jumpsuit?
Until next time!
