Hey Everyone!
It’s party time! And we all know what that means, right? It’s time to start thinking about what to wear to the many holiday parties we’ll be attending this season. When it comes to holiday dressing, it doesn’t always have to be elaborate or complicated. I’ve actually found that the looks I put less effort into are the ones I end up loving the most. Don’t get me wrong, some parties require a certain level of effort and thought (i.e. Ugly Christmas Sweater Parties). But for others, simplicity can be much more elegant. Not to mention easy. Whether you’re attending an office party or a fancy holiday event, creating simple, sophisticated holiday looks can save you tons of shopping time. There really isn’t a trick to it either.
For my look today, I decided to shop my closet. It’s been a while since I’ve done this, but I’m a big advocate of it and I’ve mentioned it in previous posts. It’s such a great way to save both time AND money. It also helps to spark your creativity by forcing you to find new ways to wear your clothing. Since plaid is such a popular holiday pattern, I thought it would be fun to throw in a little tradition there. I wore my spiked plaid shirt from Forever 21 (old) with a simple, black midi skirt and black platforms. For a little pizazz, I threw in my leopard print clutch. Nothing beats a good print mix!
Here’s my look:

What kind of simple, sophisticated holiday looks will you be putting together this year?

You look so lovely in plaid and midi. I always wish to wear a midi but my legs are too short.
