Happy Friday! Are you all as ready for the summer as I am? It’s summer now and I’m feeling very adventurous <Insert wicked laugh>! Regardless of what you’ve seen me wear on the blog, I can honestly say that I’ve never been the type to wear bright colors until recently. I’ve always played it safe when it comes to my clothing, sticking strictly to neutral colors. Well I’m done with that! LOL! I’ve become obsessed with bright colors lately and have had so much fun adding more of it to my wardrobe.
If you follow me on Instagram, then you will have definitely seen a gorgeous pair of coral heels I posted recently that were gifted to me by Shooz on 7. The color of these shoes is so vibrant, I knew I wanted to wear something white with them to make them pop…but why stop there? Since I’m trying to be better about pushing the envelope and trying different things, I thought it would be a great idea to try mixing two bright colors. Two important things to remember when mixing bright colors is #1 – To know which colors play well with each other and #2 – To use muted colors that sort of get “in between” the brights, almost breaking them up a bit. Truthfully, some of the things trends I’ve seen on the runway have been completely opposite of that so by all means, break all the rules and do what you want as long as you don’t look like a clown
Here’s my look:
