Hey Everyone!
I think it’s clear to you all by now that I’m crazy about jewelry. What I haven’t shared with you is that lately I’ve been having a love affair with all things Druzy. For the longest time, I didn’t even know what it was, I just knew that I liked the way it looked. If you’re clueless like I was, Druzy is the glittering effect of tiny crystals over the top of a colorful mineral (EX: Quartz). It gives off a shimmery effect that’s really beautiful, and the colors are usually very bright and vibrant. This brings me to my favorite new pair of Rose Gold Druzy Earrings by Justine Brooks Design.
Justine Brooks is truly a woman of my own heart. She embarked on a nine-month solo tour of the Middle East, East Africa and Asia to research stones and metal techniques. She’s a jewelry designer with a passion for natural stones and an amazing eye for design and detail. Her jewelry is gorgeous, and the fact that she uses natural stones makes it that much more appealing. It’s true that big things sometimes come in little packages. Although my druzy earrings are small, they make a very BIG statement!
As I mentioned earlier this week, I got a chance to snatch up some of my favorites from the new Altuzarra for Target Collection when I got back from Greece. Since orchids are my favorite flowers, I knew I had to have the Orchid Print Sweatshirt from the collection. The colors in this sweatshirt are quite a compliment to Justine’s simple, yet elegant druzy earrings. Since the sweatshirt has somewhat of a busy print with the flowers, it doesn’t make sense to wear big earrings…which makes these studs the perfect accessory!
Here’s my look:
