*This post highlights fall color hues for 2015 and features an item from J. Jill that was gifted to me for a product review
It’s crazy how quickly it’s beginning to feel like fall in Atlanta. This weekend was absolutely gorgeous with temperatures in the mid 50s in the morning and 70s in the afternoon. It’s a shame that it doesn’t stay that way for long here. We usually go from one extreme to the next. At any rate, with the change in season comes changes in color. You’ll soon start to notice colors getting darker and darker. If you’ve ever wondered how these seasonal colors are determined, then you should check out Pantone. Pantone is the #1 authority on color. Period. From season to season they are the ones who decide which colors the Fashion industry will use in their collections. As far as fall color hues for 2015, Pantone reports that it will be all about bold color statements.
My favorite color from Pantone’s palette for the fall season is Amethyst/Orchid. J. Jill did an excellent job incorporating this shade into their September Collection. Purple in just about any shade is a favorite color of mine. It’s a rich color that’s both bold and fun. Today, I’m wearing the Lightweight Merino Sweater in Grape. I’ve spoken before about how perfect J. Jill’s clothing is for the office but I think today’s look is my all time favorite. Though simple, there’s something so sophisticated to me about a pencil skirt and beautiful sweater. Don’t let me forget to mention that the fit is spot on!
Here’s my look:
