The word “crisp” is the perfect word to describe the weather we had this weekend. I was in for a surprise when I went out to walk my dog on Saturday morning. Expecting it to be warm like it was on Friday, I went out wearing a short sleeve t-shirt. What I needed to be wearing was a light jacket because it was very chilly. When the weather starts to get like this it’s difficult to decide what to wear. That’s where fall maxi skirts come in. What I love about maxi skirts is that they’re typically lightweight. You can wear them in hot or cold temperatures which makes them great transitional pieces. For the spring/summer you can wear them with flip flops or sandals, then in the fall/winter you can throw on a pair of tights and knee high boots.
The skirt I’m wearing today is one of my all time favorite fall maxi skirts. I got it from Urban Outfitters a few years ago and it continues to be one of my “Go To” transitional pieces. The blush pink color is perfect for any season. Remember, cold weather DOES NOT mean you have to wear darker colors. As a matter of fact, nowadays, women everywhere are popping color during all of the seasons. To ensure that I didn’t take anything away from the skirt, I paired it with a simple white camisole and my favorite denim jacket. I definitely think the blue of the denim makes the color of the skirt pop even more! I added statement earrings for some pizazz and my favorite new Rose Gold Watch from Pulsar Watches. The addition of a beautiful watch is always a compliment to any outfit.

This outfit was a great addition to the beautiful fall weather we had this weekend. I may have to invest in a few more fall maxi skirts to wear this season!
Do you wear fall maxi skirts?
