I totally forgot to tell you guys this, but next Sunday I’ll be embarking on an adventure to Italy! Exciting, I know! 🙂 My bestie and I will be flying into Rome where we’ll stay for a few days, then we’ll be heading down to Positano to spend some time on the Amalfi Coast. I’m literally coming apart at the seams just thinking about all of those beautiful flowers and postcard-like images that I’ll get to see when I’m there, and of course I’ll be writing about it when I return. After seeing pictures of where we’ll be staying, I felt compelled to go out and buy a flower crown. Don’t ask me why….I guess maybe I really just kinda wanted one. LOL! Anywho, I’ve decided to make my new flower crown the focus of what I’m calling The Flower Crown Chronicles. Today’s post is Part 1.
Let me start by saying this…flower crowns, while VERY beautiful, are not really practical for everyday use. I mean, there’s not a lot of places you would honestly feel comfortable wearing one besides the beach, but they are absolutely gorgeous to look at and can easily fit into just about any exotic setting…like the Amalfi Coast!
For Part One of The Flower Crown Chronicles, I immediately knew I wanted to wear this See by Chloe dress I bought earlier this year but haven’t had the chance to wear yet (sorry, it’s no longer available). It looks perfect with the Zara sandals I got on sale this summer. The piéce de résistance, is a Flower Crown that I got from Urban Outfitters. Although this flower crown has a more tropical look, I wanted to style it in a more Grecian way for today’s post…which has absolutely nothing to do with me going to Italy. LOL! There’s just no way for me to tie those two together…I just wanted to be Greek, okay?!
First, to whet your visual appetite, here are some pictures of where we are going:
Gorgeous huh? So now that you’ve seen where we’re going (hatin yet?), try to picture this outfit in that setting (*Photos taken by Richard Glass)…
I haven’t quite decided yet if I’ll take the flower crown I’m wearing in the pictures, or if I’ll purchase another one prior to my departure. One thing is for sure, I’m SO EXCITED about my upcoming trip to Italy!
So, how would you style your flower crown?
Until next time!
