What’s Up Future Flippers!
Today I would like to share with you the magic of Honey. Don’t worry, I’m not going to rant about how great my toast was this morning, and I don’t care to share how to sweeten your tea. I want to share some quick tips with you on how using honey can keep things that usually would need chemicals, completely natural.
#1- Highlights: You can naturally highlight your hair with honey. By no means should you to take a spoon and start smacking honey in your hair and go to the mall. In case you didn’t know, honey has hydrogen peroxide in it that when “kissed” by the sun, starts to lighten your hair slowly but surely. This works especially well for Brunettes. If you are Blonde, then I recommend lemon juice to lighten your hair. But that’s another story
Recipe: 1 part honey, 2 parts conditioner. Mix and put throughout your hair. Wait 30-40 minutes. This works best if in the sun.
#2- Dark Mark Extinguisher: Yes I’m back on the whole blemishes thing, BUT I’M ON A MISSION TO FIX IT! Now with honey on the skin it’s pretty simple. You just apply a honey mask to your face or just to the places that need lightening. It does the same thing that it does for your hair, and over time it will lighten your dark marks. Once again, lemon is an alternative to this.
Recipe: Honey! I recommend raw, organic honey because it works better than regular honey. I would leave this mask on for 30 minutes before washing it off because it tends to slide down your face. To test it on your skin, apply a small amount to the jaw line. Just to make sure you’re not sensitive to it.
To wrap this up, I would like to warn you that these tips don’t just work over night. So please don’t comment fussing at me because you didn’t wake up with instant highlights. Things take time
