Hey Afaconados!
I’m glad it’s the weekend but sad that this year’s IFB Conference is over. This posting should have been done yesterday but I got carried away with coworkers at Happy Hour last night didn’t have time to write anything. Shame on me!
Anywhoo…day two at the IFB Conference was equally as wonderful as day one. You would think that walking around in 4 and 5 inch platforms the day before would cause people to slack when it came to day two…well think again! Everyone brought the same fierce style and amazing energy with them the next day. Some of the trends of the day included: Brocade pants and skirts, Blazers with shorts, Peplum dresses and Boyfriend shirts.
Once again, there was no shortage of great information and an unbelievable host of panelists which included Scott Allan of Rakuten Linkshare, Michelle Madhok of SheFinds, Kelly Framel of The Glamourai, Eva Chen of Teen Vogue, Charlotte Cowles of NY Mag’s The Cut, Gabi Gregg of Gabi Fresh and Nate Erickson of GQ Magazine (just to name a few) talked through topics that included: The New Entrepreneur, Journalism vs. Blogging, Mastering Pinterest and Bringing Bravery Back to Blogging. The biggest and BEST part of the day was a keynote given by the one and only, Legendary Beauty Supermodel Diva: IMAN
Iman graced us with her presence to talk about her new blog Destination Iman, and also shared information with us regarding her years of experience as a supermodel, business woman and woman of color. There’s only one word I can use to describe Iman and that is “STUNNING”. She stops everything when she walks into a room and it’s unreal how humble and witty she is. Again, I’m unable to share all of the pictures I took that day, but here are a few:
Our last day was chock full of fun, great information and amazing panelists! I really look forward to attending the conference again in February of next year. I hope you’ve enjoyed sharing my experience in NYC with me!
Until next time!

I’m glad I met you too and can’t wait to keep in touch. When February gets closer we’ll have to plan ahead so we can hang out!
