I’d like to preface today’s article by saying that my intention was to write this on Friday. My apologies for the late arrival. Going forward, articles I write like this one today will be published on Fridays. I’d like to start shining a light on some of my favorite online boutiques, some of which you may know, and some you may not.
In 2010, I had the opportunity to go to London to work for 2 months and it turned out to be an amazing experience that I will never forget. If you haven’t heard, shopping in London is phenomenal! Although the prices are higher than in the States, you can still find some pretty good deals. One of my favorites was a cute little boutique called Joy which is located in Richmond, a town in southwest London. I can’t tell you how many times a week I went into that store. They have a great selection of clothing and accessories along with good sale prices…I’m not sure about you, but I always hit up the Sales rack first when I enter any store.
I was super excited to find out that Joy offers shipping to the United States, which is not the case with all UK stores. If you’d like to check them out, a few words of caution: (1) Make sure you know your UK size. UK sizes run smaller than sizes in the US. For example, I wear a size 4 or 6 in US sizes but in the UK I’m an 8 or 10. (2) Be sure to remember that the British pound is worth more than the US dollar. The website’s prices are all in pounds so you will have to do the currency conversions on your own. (3) Be sure to allow for longer shipping timeframes. After all your items will be coming from the UK. Joy’s web address is http://www.joythestore.com. Check out some of their offerings below:
