Do you know how I sometimes complain about some of my shopping trips being a bust? Well, although the excursion my bestie and I went on last Saturday didn’t help me find an outfit to wear for the Marie Claire photo shoot, I DID find two great pieces at Forever 21! Ladies, if you live in Atlanta and love the clothing at Forever 21 as much as I do, then you need to make it a point to head to the Lenox Square Mall location. It is by FAR the best one I’ve ever been to! The selection is so enormous, it’s overwhelming.
I’ve told you guys before how crazy I am about plaid, and it’s weird but for some reason when I think of Christmas I think of plaid. I think that’s why I was so drawn to the top I’m wearing today. The colors in this top are very festive and the spikes add an element of danger…I’m a bit of a weirdo so you have to know me to understand why I think that’s cool. LOL! I recently bought a pair of cobalt flats I saw someone wearing at an event that I’ve been dying to wear with something, anything. They were the prettiest color blue and the tiger’s head on the shoe really set it off. I was completely shocked when she told me she got them from Charming Charlie…I would have sworn they were made by someone like Charlotte Olympia and were super expensive. The cobalt blue of these flats paired with this plaid top was just perfection to me. I really hope you like them together as much as I do 🙂 And so sorry, but they are no longer available on the Charming Charlie website.
Here’s my look:

If you’re anything like me and you march to the beat of your own drum, then this is definitely the outfit for you. I’m lucky to work in a laid back office that allows casual dress everyday so I’d wear this outfit to the holiday office party. Well, not this year because we’re doing the Ugly Christmas Sweater thing. Ugh! I’m SO not looking forward to that. I swear, I’m gonna be defiant and wear a cute Christmas sweater and just call it ugly to keep everyone off of my back. LOL!
So, traditional holiday attire for you? Or do you dare to be different?
Until next time!
