*This post highlights mixing prints for summer and features the Striped Delave Linen Big Shirt from J. Jill which was gifted to me for a product review
I’m excited to announce that mixing prints will remain a popular trend this summer! I could be wrong, but I like to think that this trend was made even more popular thanks to bloggers. All you have to do is google “Mixing Prints” and you’ll see tons of the top Street Style Bloggers wearing this trend. As I’m sure you’ve seen in some of my previous posts, I love to mix prints. I think it forces me to think more creatively about my outfits because it’s not easy to do. It’s definitely not as simple as just throwing on anything that doesn’t match and walking out the door. You have to put some thought into the colors and patterns to make sure that it makes sense.
The combination that I’m wearing today is one that I’ve worn before, but in a different way. I’ve worn horizontal stripes with camouflage in a previous post, but never vertical. Believe it or not, it makes a slight difference. Bloggers get inspiration from other bloggers too so when I saw another blogger wearing something similar, I knew I wanted to try it. Thanks to J. Jill, I’ve got the Striped Delave Linen Big Shirt, which is so perfect! I swear the light linen fabric is impervious to the heat of the summer! It also comes in a variety of fabulous colors including Surf Green, Sunlight, Flax, Baltic and others!
Here’s my look:

By the way, I’m surprised at how much of my legs I’ve been showing lately. I usually hate wearing things that show my legs. LOL! Be sure to check out more of J. Jill’s linen. They have such a great variety of quality pieces!
Will any of you be mixing prints this summer?
