I’m literally boiling over with excitement for my upcoming trip to the Big Apple this week! My newly graduated niece Ashleigh and I will be leaving on Friday for what I know will be a FANTASTIC (and fruitful) shopping extravaganza! In a previous post, I talked about effortless style. Well in NYC, they’ve got effortless style down to a science. Every time I visit, I try to pack things that won’t make me look like I’m trying too hard to keep up with the naturally stylish folks that live in NYC…even though I am. LOL! New York has such a great vibe. Every time I visit, I leave completely inspired.
I purchased the Joie dress I’m wearing today at TJ Maxx last year. It’s so light that it literally feels like I’m not wearing much at all which makes it perfect for summer. When it comes to styling my clothing, one thing I love to do is mix hard with soft. Since this dress is so feminine, I thought it would be cute to throw it off a bit with a pair of gladiators. Thanks to Shooz on 7, a fabulous shoe store located in Downtown Atlanta, I was able to find the perfect pair of gold gladiator sandals. I already have a black and camel colored pair, but thought the gold would go much better with the light peach floral fabric of the dress. I love the way it turned out! I think this outfit will definitely be going in my suitcase this week!
Here’s my look:
Seriously, how cute are these shoes?! My niece has already asked if she can borrow them while we’re in NYC this weekend. I can’t wait to share my pictures with you guys once I’m back next week! Be sure to visit Shooz on 7 at http://shop.shoozon7.com.
Have you been to NYC? What do you think about the style there?

Until next time!
