It looks like we’ll be heading into the Thanksgiving holiday this week with some very gloomy weather. It rained off and on all day Sunday. There’s nothing worse than having to take outfit photos on a cold rainy day. Nevertheless, my nephew and I persevered through the inclement weather. This train doesn’t stop just because it rains As long as I’ve been a fan of peplum tops, I’ve never owned many of them. I LOVE wearing girly clothing and peplum tops are the epitome of “Girly” to me. They fit and flare which is wonderful for providing a slimming effect and they look SO chic when worn with a fitted pair of trousers or a pencil skirt. I got the Ruffle Knit Peplum Sweater I’m wearing today from Sheinside. In a previous post, I wrote about a Slim Knit Cardigan I got from there and mentioned how amazed I was at how warm it was. Well the same goes for this peplum top I’m wearing today. It’s very warm! Now, I’m not saying I could have gone all day without a coat, but I was certainly okay during the time we were taking pictures.
Cold weather calls for leather so I paired the top with my leather leggings. Although my leggings are real leather, you can do just as well with a pair that aren’t. It’s the effect that matters, not the actual fabric itself…unless you want to do like I did and invest in an authentic pair. I’ve had my pair of leather leggings for a while now and I don’t regret my purchase. If you take good care of them, they will last you forever. All the black in my outfit called for some color so I’m wearing my Mustard Bow Heels from Zara. If you missed out on these shoes when they were available at Zara, I’m sad for you. These shoes are SO fabulous and they added just the pop I needed to complete my outfit!
