Hey Everyone!
If you live in Atlanta then you know that last week was a doozy when it comes to the weather. Can you believe that it was actually 10 degrees one morning? I’m still having a hard time wrapping my head around that one. Although I’m not a fan of cold weather, I do agree that it allows you to be more creative with fashion. So this weekend I decided to experiment with one of my new favorites, the color gray. I know what you’re thinking, “Gray is such a drab color”. While that may be true, wearing shades of gray in the winter doesn’t have to be drab if you dress it up with some color.
I recently bought a beautiful pair of gray suede Rita Heels by Schutz and had no idea what I would wear with them. As I went through my closet to find something to pair with these light gray heels, I found other shades of gray. It may seem like it would be tacky to pair different shades of gray, but it’s not. You can absolutely pair different shades of gray. Just make sure you provide some sort of balance, whether it’s with white or pops of color.
Here’s my look:

The plaid scarf seems to pull everything together to make it all look cohesive. Aren’t those shoes gorgeous?! I’m crazy about Schutz shoes. I don’t think they have a single pair that I don’t love. By the way, the gray background was intentional. I wanted to show what an interesting color gray can be. Does any of this look drab or boring to you? As a side note, I’ll be wearing gray all week in some capacity. It really is a great color for the winter season. Be sure to stay tuned!
How do you style shades of gray in the winter?
