I’m continuing my coverage of Charleston Fashion Week today and next in line is the runway show by Swoon and Out of Hand boutiques in Mount Pleasant, SC. After being blown away by the Mamie Ruth, Satchel., and MLiz Designs show, I could NOT wait to see what would come next…and I certainly would not be disappointed!
As part of a family of boutiques and services that include: Swoon, Out of Hand, Ooh! Beautiful, Ooh! Events, South and Out of the Garden, this show was all about whimsical, romantic style. Adorned in the most beautiful floral crowns used as accessories for designs made from delicate laces, silks and chiffons, the models all wore natural makeup with accents of blush and peach and with big hairstyles of loose waves and messy buns that were every bit as romantic as their garments. I literally felt like I was in a dream world when the ladies walked out. As a matter of fact, the word “dreamy” would be perfect to describe the atmosphere that Swoon and Out of Hand boutiques created for the runway. Even the music selection went with the theme of the show. Although I’ve never owned a pair of cowboy boots, seeing the ladies wearing them with those dresses made me want to run out and buy a pair…STAT! I have to say, I was BEYOND impressed by how much thought and consideration went into the production of this show.
Here are some of my favorite looks:

I can’t be sure now, but I think my jaw may have been dropped during the entire show. LOL! I really enjoyed what I saw from Swoon and Out of Hand and by now was even more pleasantly surprised by how much of a force South Carolina has become in the Fashion industry. Impressed doesn’t even begin to explain it!
So, which look from the Swoon and Out of Hand show was your favorite? How do you feel about the whimsical, romantic style they portrayed in the show?
Until next time!
