Hey Everyone!
After what turned out to be a very busy work week, I’m glad the weekend is finally here. I work from home 3 days a week and although it sounds like it would be laid back, it’s not. I’ve noticed that when I’m home I tend to work much longer hours because there isn’t a need to stop. I don’t have a commute so why not keep working, right? Needless to say, I’m happy to take a breather for the weekend. My mother and I have regular weekend breakfast dates now and I really look forward to our time together. I also enjoy discovering new casual looks in hopes of inspiring you all. 🙂
As common as they may be, I’ve never owned a utility vest. I guess I’ve never been much of a “vest” person. That is, until I saw one in TJ Maxx recently. For some reason (not sure why) it stood out to me. I think it may have been the soft fabric and drawstring waist that sold me on buying it. At any rate, I’m now the proud owner of my first utility vest and I was excited to style it in a casual look! When thinking about what to wear with my new utility vest, I instantly knew I wanted to do a pop of stripes with the green. The great thing about green is that it’s a neutral color so you can pair it with lots of different colors and patterns. Either way it will look fabulous! In keeping with the idea of keeping things casual, I didn’t want to do too much else with the look. A simple pair of skinny jeans, cute sneakers and light accessories are all you need to complete it.
Here’s my look:

I hope you all have a rain-free, sun shiny weekend!
Do you have a utility vest? How do you style it?
